Slitherine/Matrix has announced they are accepting applications to beta test The Lordz Game Studio’s Panzer Corps. Panzer Corps is inspired by the classic Panzer General, and looks like it could be quite good.
Playing through Panzer General I (via PGForever) and Panzer General II (via GOG and OpenPG2) recently reminded me how much I enjoyed playing with the simple system. The RPG aspect of the games (your forces carry over from mission to mission and gain experience over the course of the campaign) was always appealing to me.
